And today I am sick with a horrible cold. Let’s rewind just a few days. Just lookit me. All healthy and happy and enjoying a weird ass warm day in December in Chicago! With weather like that it was hard to stay inside. It was also the day after Christmas. Now you know it’s going to be crazy at the stores, filled with everyone shopping for themselves and/or returning/exchanging gifts they got for Christmas. This day, this glorious day… a.k.a… boxing day. Now what crazy idiot would go out in that madness? This crazy idiot. I just couldn’t help it. The weather was too nice and I was itching to get out of the house. So I dragged out the hubster with camera in hand and it was off to Michigan Ave. I still get shy when taking photos in such a high traffic area and this day was no exception. However it did help that there were a bunch of tourists that were also out taking photos so I didn’t seem quite AS weird. And a majority were Asian. Thank the Lord for Asian tourists. They help our economy AND my blog photos. Until they try to photobomb. Then they suck. Anyway, I’m not quite sure what I’m saying at this point. Must be all the cold meds. Regardless, I was happy to finally take some Christmas-y photos in front of a tree. This was as festive as I got this year. I do love the way the city decorates itself during the holidays. So many sparkly lights line the streets. It’s just a beautiful time to be in the city. I hope everyone had a fun boxing day like I did!
